Throwback Vol. 12 "Nurture Vs. Nature"

When I did this painting a good friend of me wanted something to do with robots, and that was more or less it.  I had been doing a lot of late night street walking (not that sort of street walking).  I kept looking at the Street Lights and thinking about what a wonderfully dynamic image they are, colorful but mechanical, two of my favorite things.  I began to formulate an idea about a post apocalyptic make shift robot made from growing human babies and I slammed the two together and got this.  I was listening to a lot of Radiohead at the time and I feel the face reflects that.  Enjoy

Throwback Vol. 4 "St. Chedda"

This was the second painting I ever did, very simple, this was when I was heavily influenced by the window pain style and the symbolism that could be utilized within it.

Throwback Vol. 2 "Carmela"

This painting was the 3rd acrylic painting I ever did, you can most likely tell from the clumsy way it was painted, it still holds a special place in my heart though.  The painting is meant to evoke the idea that human beings have been trying to protect themselves from the natural ways of things, living beyond their age and means.  Avoiding time's certain grasp.

Throwback Vol. 1 "Casino Dragon"

This was one of the first paintings I did with acrylics and during this painting cycle since 2005 up tell now.  It was inspired by the Milton Bradly game entitled "Dark Tower".  Quite an awesome artist and a major influence on my style.  Check out his work here.

This painting belongs to a good friend of mine and it's always nice to see it when I go hang out with him.  Enjoy~

Lilith

Lilith by *Rayjmaraca on deviantART
the eye-like markings at the tips of the feathers which, around the Mediterranean, recall the dreaded "evil eye"-- the ever watchful and envious glance of the she-demon, Lilith.
